Pesto Goat Cheese Pinwheels
1 package frozen puff pastry
Pesto Sauce
Mildish Goat Cheese (Courtier, Chevre)
1 egg beaten with one table spoon water


Cut one puff pastry sheet in half width wise. Cover about 2/3rds of it with pesto. Sprinkle crumbled goat cheese over it. Roll it jellyroll fashion toward you and seal it with the egg wash. Refrigerate for about an hour.Slice in quarter inch pieces and place on a cookie sheet flat side down. Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
Makes a great appetizer
